Mosaic Kitchen Party
A glass mosaic party gives you a time out from your busy life, a creative outlet and a chance to get together with friends. You organize and host your friends and I’ll bring all the goods! Book a date today for your mosaic kitchen party! I provide mobile mosaic facilitation for parties of 4-8 participants. No artistic experience needed! You will learn about safety, glass cutting techniques, adhesives, bases and more. Then, choosing your favourite stained glass from a tantalizing buffet – you will design and create an amazing sun catcher to bring home. You are welcome to bring your own design/ pattern to recreate in mosaic form (simple please)! Think kids’ old fashioned colouring books), or choose one from my stash. No room to host at your place? Not a problem – I have the space to host you and your group in my studio.

Mosaics made easy
These easy going, 4 hour sessions are similar to the mosaic parties described above – without the need to organize or host a group of your friends. The number of participants vary in these workshops. I host these gatherings in my home studio in the west end of Ottawa and in various public venues in Ottawa. See scheduled events here!
Individual facilitation
By appointment, we get together and you explore mosaics for the first time. Or, if you are ready to take your mosaics to the next level, we discuss and practice the various styles/ patterns of laying glass (known as opus in mosaics) and look at how a particular opus affects the visual flow or andamento in a mosaic design.
Commissions
I am happy to consider your request for a commissioned mosaic! I create mosaics primarily out of coloured and textured stained glass, securely attached to either a solid or glass base. If glass, when viewed back-lit or in a window, you’ll love how the varying ambient lighting transforms the mosaic! My style ranges from realistic renditions of my subject, to stylized, impressionistic or abstract versions. Mosaics can be made for either indoor or outdoor display, as requested. Glass mosaics take much time and skill and I cut each piece of glass by hand. The cost of your commission, which starts at 325.00 Cdn, reflects this accomplishment.
